Does anyone have one, or could tell me about the basic set up for one?
A nano reef tank is a small version of a full blown Salt Water Marine Reef Aquarium. Nano reef tanks range from 3 gallon to the Red Sea Max which is 34 gallons. Nano systems are often plug and play tanks where everything is included (reef lighting, moonlights, built in filtration, timers, fans and some even have a protein skimmer) thus making the set-up and maintenence of the system relatively easy
Nano reefs are a great way to try many different corals by purchasing a small piece (frag) of the mother colony and seeing how it does in your system.
All in all it is your own piece of the reef in minerature
I hope this helps
Thanks I am wondering if I should buy a new set up (this will be a nano reef) or convert my 4ft tank to marine..
